Light, Space, and Modern Living

This project addressed two key areas within the home to enhance functionality and atmosphere for a young family.

Firstly, the central part of the house lacked natural light. To transform this, a skylight was installed above the staircase, with a statement chandelier suspended within the double-height void. This intervention now floods the core of the home with daylight throughout the day. The effect is further amplified by a refreshed interior palette—replacing dark tones with light, bright finishes to create a sense of openness and airiness.

Secondly, the original kitchen was undersized for modern family life. A rear extension was added, resulting in a spacious, open-plan layout that seamlessly integrates the kitchen, dining, and living areas. This new hub of the home supports both daily life and entertaining with ease.

The renovation also included a full modernisation of the property, including upgraded bathrooms, delivering a cohesive and contemporary living environment throughout.
